Swedenborg Quote
Was Emanuel Swedenborg a Qabalist or Thelemite without realizing it? lol
"...from the signification of "His servants," as being, who are in truths from good. Such are meant by servants of God, because those who hearken to and obey God are called, in the Word, servants of God. Hearkening and obedience take place with those who are in truths from good, but not with those who are in truths alone, or in truths without good; for these have truths in the memory only, and not in the life; whereas those who are in truths from good have truths in the life, and those who have truths in the life do them from the heart, that is, from love."
Just replace the word "good", which is so little of a word it can hardly be so-called, with the word "Love" (Agape in Thelema), or Neshamah (The Qabalistic Divine Soul) and see how his words take on new meaning!
Also note his acknowledgement of the falsehood of the shadowy Sephira of Da'ath when he refers to "truths without good; for these have truths in the memory only, and not in the life;"
