There are some who live their entire lives without so much as taking note of the Great Work. They contribute nothing to it, and at the end their Egos are destroyed. Their shells are assimilated. They are Vulgar.

There are some who notice the Great Work and choose not to contribute, forsaking everything but their own desire. All that they desire resides here and at the end their Egos are destroyed. Their shells are assimilated. They are Vulgar.

Just replace the word "good", which is so little of a word it can hardly be so-called, with the word "Love" (Agape in Thelema), or Neshamah (The Qabalistic Divine Soul) and see how his words take on new meaning!

Also note his acknowledgement of the falsehood of the shadowy Sephira of Da'ath when he refers to "truths without good; for these have truths in the memory only, and not in the life;"

Rite of Cleansing or Ritual Shower

 ~ Ritual ~ Devised by Frater V.A.L during the Hour of Thanu, Raphael presiding.

Disrobe and take a moment to notice the feeling of being naked. Note any “emotional” responses to being nude. There should be none. Work carefully in understanding the source of these feelings. Conquer them one at a time. This will take months, or years, depending on how deeply rooted the issues are in the psyche. The only feelings one should immediately notice are physical sensations of Air touching the parts of the body that are normally occluded.

Turn on the shower and adjust the water to a comfortable temperature.

Enter the shower and let the Water run over your entire body.

During this, visualize the Water as the Waters of Binah reflecting down the Tree, first to Chessed, then Hod, and finally into the Water of Earth or Malkuth.

Once surrounded by the Waters of Binah, take the soap/bodywash/shampoo and start to scrub your body in circular motions, visualizing the inequities flying away from each sphere, leaving behind nothing but the Shells.

Starting with the [hair and face]. Inwardly(silently), and repeatedly vibrate the name EHIEH.

[gentials and pubic area] – SHADDAI EL CHAI

[legs and feet] – ADONAI HA ARETZ

When you are completely covered in the Shells of your inequities, rinse and visualize the Water now as the LVX DIVINVM flowing directly from Kether through the Middle Pillar, bathing all the spheres with Light and carrying the Shells away into the ground.

Turn the water off and remain in the shower. Face east and take note of how the Water feels on your body. Become aware that you are not just surrounded by Water, but Earth, and Air as well. Realize that were you standing bathed in Fire you would be consumed. Then realize that Fire is responsible for warming the Water to a comfortable temperature. When you have properly realized the Elements in your current environment, Realize that when you step out of the shower the Air will assault you, the Water on your skin will become cold, the Fire has left, and the Earth has grown unstable and slippery beneath you. Endeavor to face this without fear.

When you are not afraid to face the Elements and their assault on your senses, spread the veil and step out into the room. Still in a meditative state, accept the new sensations and harness them. Sturdy your footing. Deny the cold.

Dry off, remembering each sphere as you cover it, seeing it now being clean pure and full of Divine Light. When you are dry say aloud, AMEN or TETELESTAI

Once you are comfortable with the visualizations, add the oration for the Ritual Bath from “The Greater Key of Solomon” or any number of suitable Psalms. This should be recited during the “rinse” phase of the ritual when you are visualizing the Divine Light descending the Pillar and filling the spheres.

Prayer for YHVH

I stand bathed in the light from which darkness flees
My shadow occluded

Introduction

I wrote down this spirit action immediately after it happened. I stumbled upon it this evening while looking through some of last year's documents. I have been reading some spirit actions described by others lately so I thought I would post this as a published record of its occurrence.

While traveling to work this morning, I became angry at yet another instance of a person doing stupid things whilst driving. Most often these things impede me in some way or cause me to make a reactionary decision based on their movements. After becoming angry I began to contemplate the idea of God's Will and how one might attempt to continue to keep God's Will in mind when confronted with anger and frustration.

There appeared in the passenger seat, an Angel made of sunlight. Though I did not ask a name, I knew him to be Michael.

Michael said, “It's a matter of your own Will, to retain God's Will in the forefront of your Mind. You have acknowledged the ease with which you slip into reverence when performing rituals. It is quite as simple. The Earthy deeds done in your midst, concern not The Creator. Therefore let it concern you not. Maintain your focus on your own state of Mind and raise it to the Highest. This is your concern.”

With that, I thanked Michael and he departed.

While pondering on Michael's words, I was cut-off twice, narrowly avoided a collision with a person entering the freeway, and had to come to a dead stop at the driveway entrance to my office because a woman kept backing in and out of a parking space, only to pull completely out and leave when I finally passed her. These things I observed but I didn't let it make me angry. Maintaining the lofty state of performing God's Will in these conditions will be difficult to say the least, but “There is no merit in receiving God's gifts and performing his will without having done so whilst being tempted and accused by Satan.” - Jesus, Secret Book of James
